Under the scam, customers are receiving a call informing them their electric service is scheduled for immediate disconnection and they should make a payment by credit card or by purchasing a "money pack" card at a local drug or convenience store. Tri-County Electric has received reports of members who have been contacted about this scam in its Taylor County service territory. “Safety Success” was the phrase of the day as the board of trustees and employees of Tri-County Electric Cooperative celebrated another successful year in safety. At TCEC, nothing is more important than the safety and well being of the employees. It takes commitment from every employee to perform the job in the safest way possible. In recognition of the employees working safely throughout the year, the Cooperative celebrated its 23rd Annual Safety Day on Nov. 15, 2013.
